“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God.”
One of these two great Democrats will say these words next January. And, more importantly, whoever takes this oath will have to fulfill it.
This isn’t about who will beat McCain (we will - all of us). This isn’t about bumper stickers or campaign managers or Tim Russert or “viral videos” or Bill or Michelle or internal memos or superdelegates or Kirk Watson’s 15 seconds in the spotlight.
This is about who is most able to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. And if you study both candidates - you hear what they’re about, you look at how they’ve made change in the past and what they’ve committed their lives to - if you do all that, then read that Presidential Oath again, and ask yourself who is far and away the best candidate to take that oath and lead America out of the dire straits where we now find ourselves.
We believe that leader is Hillary Clinton.
